Dr. Bernard A. Jones, CBCP, is an Assistant Professor at St. John’s University in the Collins College of Professional Studies, where he teaches undergraduate and doctoral courses in homeland security, emergency management, and business continuity. With more than 20 years of experience, he is a certified business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management professional who has led the review and implementation of enterprise resilience programs. He holds a Doctor of Science degree in Civil Security Leadership, Management, and Policy from New Jersey City University, along with master’s degrees in Emergency Management and Business Continuity from NJIT and Management Information Systems from Kean University, and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. His research and professional work focus on organizational resilience, business continuity metrics, data visualization, disaster equity, and strengthening preparedness culture within organizations.
